PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania ––I.COMM of Berea, OH today, was awarded a contract to install the performance audio and video systems at the new Point Park University’s Pittsburgh Playhouse located in downtown Pittsburgh, PA.
The new 92,000 square-foot facility will be located on 1.6 acres of land along the Forbes Avenue corridor between Wood and Smithfield streets, encompassing three structures when completed. The new building will be seamless integrated with two historic structures and will feature the latest in sound and video technologies, while preserving the rich history of the buildings.
“This facility is going be a real highlight in downtown Pittsburgh,” says Paul Fussner, President of I.COMM, “It will bring a new energy into downtown Pittsburgh, building on the revitalization efforts of the University and its community partners.”
The project estimated at $53 million includes three performance spaces that will feature fully engineered and integrated performance audio and video systems. I.COMM is partnering with Newcastle, PA based Bruce & Merrilees Electric to provide turn-key installation of these critical performance systems.
“Like I.COMM, Bruce & Merrilees are committed to delivering a world-class solution for the University,” continues Mr. Fussner, “both of our firms bring a unique skillset and unequalled experience to the project which will ensure the systems are deployed correctly, on-time, and on budget.”
